The more I am writing about pro-life issues, the more I have begun to recognize my gratefulness and thankfulness toward my own mother.
My mom brought me into this world. She took care of me and nurtured me in all of my needs since day one. I hope I don’t take her for granted. But at times, I may.
I mom is unique and one-of-a kind. When God created my mom, Jane, he broke the mold. She is very intelligent, wise,kind,giving, and caring.
My mom raised me as a single mom. She and my dad were divorced when I was 2 years old. So my mom took on the responsibility of raising me. She also taught high school English full time. She taught literature and writing, and grammar to junior and seniors. Her student all raved about her being their favorite teacher. I think the main reason for this was that fact that she has such an entertaining and interesting personality. She should have gone to Hollywood. In the classroom she was the best actress. She kept them on their toes by understanding and relating to them at their level. She really had a way of getting the kids to want to learn.
It is too bad she has been retired 10 years. She still has a lot to offer. I hope she will write a book, like she has wanted.
I thank God for giving me my one and only mom!
