The Christian’s Plumbline

August 28, 2008

“Thus he showed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.  And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou?  And I said, A plumbline.  Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by the many more”  (Amos 7:7-8)

OUR PLUMBLINE

This world’s Creator, Savior and Lord
is Jesus, God’s own Son.
He did destroy the Devil’s works
and in spoiling his powers He won!  (1 Jn. 3:8; Col. 2:15)

It didn’t seem He was victorious at first
defeated apparently.
He suffered much, shed innocent blood
and died for you and me.

God’s ways are surely not our ways
since three days later, He rose!
Jesus is God manifested in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16)
to save our immortal souls!

To those who really don’t believe
and say they really do.
God knows their hearts.  They can’t fool Him.
He knows just who is who.

Jesus is our Plumbline separating the bad today;
and they, the spoiled, are destined for Hell,
sentenced there to stay.  (How sad!)

If you and I turn to darkness,
we lose God’s Light to see.
To try to serve two masters,
we’re as blind as blind can be!

How can we forsake our Master
when He paid such a high price to save?
He is our only Savior
triumphant from the grave.

On the threshing floor, God separates
the wheat and leaves the tare. (Matt. 13:25)
Takes the humble sheep away with Him

and leaves the proud goats there!

He stresses, “Narrow is the way,
and His sheep are very few.”
That’s because His sheep obey Him.
Hope that’s me and you!

If we turn away from sin,
as we call upon His name,
On Judgment Day, we won’t be there
to bow our heads in shame.  (Matt. 25:32,33)

Sweet Grapes

ISAIAH 49
ISRAEL IN THE SPRIT
The woes of Isaiah five disappear at Isaiah forty-nine
as true Israel appears producing sweet grapes of new wine.
(Is. 49:13)
A people “graven upon the palm of God’s hand,”
(Isa. 49:16; Ex. 13:9)
follow the Word of God and obeys God’s command.
(Jn. 14:15; Lk. 6:46)
True Israel is one that is one from within,
(Luke 17:21; Rom. 9:6)
who repents and believes Christ saves from all sin,
(1 John 1:7,9; Matt. 1:21)
who flees from all evil, lives a spotless life,
(1 Tim. 6:11; Eph. 5:27)
who is meek, not offended, and keeps from all strife.
(Phil. 2:3)
There’s only one flock and one Shepherd, you see.
(Isa. 56:8; Ps. 23:1; Jn. 10:16; 1 Pet. 5:2)
A true sheep hears the Shepherd and obeys Him with glee.
(John 10:27)
He proclaims by God’s Spirit the Gospel today.
(Prov. 11:30)
That Christ suffered, and died, and rose the third day.
(1 Cor. 15:1-4)
Since the Spirit and the Word of God do agree,
(1 John 5:7)
believing Jews and Gentiles obey sincerely.
(Rom. 3:29-31; Acts 11:1; Isa. 49:22)
In them is the Truth, devoid of all lies.
(Rev. 14:5; Eph. 5:27)
They’re washed by the Blood, and sin in them dies.
(Rev. 1:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19)

They’ll not hunger nor thirst in the heat of the day.
(Is. 49:10;Rev. 7:16)
They’re led by springs of waters by the Spirit His Way.
(Ps. 1:3; 92:12-14)
Like grapes on the branches bearing fruit from the Vine,
(Jn. 15:1-8)
wait on the Lord, like the sun they do shine.
(Is. 40:31; 49:23; Matt. 13:43)

Believe the truth, these “BLESSED OF THE LORD.”
(1 Co. 13:6; 1 Pet. 1:22)
True Jews “put on Christ Jesus,” their God.
(Gal. 3:27-29; Rom. 4:16)
It’s “by grace through faith” God repeats so often.
(Eph. 2:8; Rom. 4:16; Matt. 16:17)
Jews and Gentiles sealed, by faith go to heaven.
(Rev. 3:12; 7:3)
Why?  There is neither Jew nor Greek, nor bond nor free.
(Gal. 3:28)
male nor female in Christ’s one flock, you see.
(John 10:16; Isa. 56:8)

True believers are faultless having no guile.
(Rev. 14:5; Zeph. 3:13)
Stay on that narrow path, not just for awhile.
(Matt. 7:13, 14) personal
Up on Mount Zion with the Lamb they will stand.
(Rev. 14:1,4; when? Isa. 2:2)
They’ll sing a new song that’ll resound through the land.
(Rev. 14:3; 5:9)

“And no man could learn that song but the 144,000,”
you see.  (Rev. 14:3 b)
Because God gave them a pure language as pure as can be.  (Zeph. 3:9; Prov. 10;13a)
So let’s follow our Shepherd and trust Him each day.
(Jn. 10:5)
God’s road is real narrow, let’s watch, fast, and pray.
(Lk. 13:23,24)

Isaiah 5: A Song by R.A. Riel

August 19, 2008

ISAIAH 5
ISRAEL OF THE FLESH (the unsaved)
(SONG)
My well beloved had a vineyard in a very fruitful hill.
He planted, removed the stones, built a tower and cared for it until…
the very day He saw in horror that His vineyard was defiled.
This precious vineyard that He had cared for
brought forth grapes bitter and wild.
CHORUS:Israel, oh Israel, My people:
oh this vineyard speaks of you.
With much love I toiled with sweat and blood, Israel.
Now there’s only one thing left for me to do.
Israel, oh Israel, My people.
Yes, this vineyard speaks of you.
With much pain, I prepared for you, My glory.
You’ve turned wild.  You’re the ones I never knew!
“Woe, Woe, Woe, Israel, My people,
your Greed and lust are pridefully strong.
Woe to you, My vineyard people.
You pretend you’re mine and think you do no wrong.
But, tribulation, great destruction is upon you
for the millions of babies you let kill.
Hear My three woes.  Hear the trumpets.  You’re defeated.
You’re uprooted from My hill.
(Repeat first stanza of chorus.)

END: So depart.  I never knew you.  So depart.  I never knew you.
